| Hey guys, just wondering if any of you have discovered some art sites that you'd like to share. Obviously, Deviantart is the biggest art site but there are other ones I've found that are just as good and a lot small community so everyone is able to give feed back a lot more. I've also found these sites-Shadowness. - My favorite so far. The site is beautiful, and people upload only their best works, so you don't get a lot of scribbles and doodles, you get full on masterpieces. StormArtistsWeasyl - It's still in Beta, but I can see it being on the lines of another Deviantart in the future. If you need an invite, just ask me. Furaffinity Cghub - Such a fabulous site for inspiration 3Dtotal - Offers sexy tutorials and inspirations And that's about all I can think of for now. If anyone would like to add to the list, I'd be more than happy to check the site out. I love discovering new Art orientated websites! :3 | |

| The only art website I am signed up for at the moment that is not on that list already is pixiv...which even if you put the menu in English will still be mostly in Japanese and is almost all anime style. One of my students got me to sign up for it when I was trying to convince her to post art online so I could keep seeing it when I got home. I suddenly miss Japan. T_T
Thank you for sharing these though, I will check them out. | |

| I remember all the drama on DA that lead to the creation of SheezyArt (sub par DA clone), which then lead to Y!Gallery and FurAffinity. It was over something stupid, too. Ah, you forgot an old gem, Elfwood, used to be very strict membership way back, for all your fantasy art. Fanart CentralPixiv - May as well post the link, heh. ConceptArt - For professional critique on your art. Bulbagarden - A public oekaki if you like to draw pokemon a lot. I know a lot of personal sites too. | |

| Anipan - new art site with a really neat layout/interface! It's technically still in beta though, and development seems to have slowed down, but it's still really neat. (haha, I remember Fanart Central.... I don't recall my login info anymore but I still follow a couple artists I met on there before everyone migrated to DA.) If we're listing oekakis and paintchats, Niko's paintchat is finally back; it's a really nice Pchat board. My favourite oekaki is Craic; the board tends to have a focus on original characters and stories though any art is acceptable, and it lets you use huge canvas sizes (up to 3000x3000 pixels). C: (I think you need to register to draw on either of these, but they're both really nice communities.) | |

| I uh.... tend to look askance whenever people talk about a site being the 'next deviantart', I've seen it being said frequently but it never seems to pan out. FurAffinity and y!gallery seem to have enjoyed the most growth and longevity of the various DA clones I know of, possibly because they do serve a niche that Deviantart doesn't, while the others that are more generalized tend to have a brief flare of popularity and then go quiet again. I had high hopes for Anipan; its parent site (Mangabullet) had some interesting features that I was hoping would get implemented, but it seems like development has slowed to a crawl and uploads from the userbase are slowing. In particular I was hoping for something like Mangabullet's 'store' option, which is a neat idea that I wish more art gallery sites would get on, but... oh well. While paintchats and interactive sites are being brought in, I might as well mention iscribble-- it has super simplistic drawing tools and a tiiiiny canvas, but it does allow users to upload artwork and its social features are surprisingly decent-- so if you can get past the tools, you can meet a lot of people there.
