| omgosh I'm in this!
I'm still sort of deciding what I'll be writing - since I have so many ideas. I figured I am just going to let it all happen at the spur of the moment. I'll be writing about all my characters that I've recently been art whoring about, trying to get art of ahaha. xD
It's going to be dark, and bloody and probably something I won't ever want to show anyone ahah.
I've never done anything like this before, so I'm really nervous yet excited.

| That's awesome. Good luck guys! I wish this occurred in any other month besides November, or I might have been able to participate. I kind of did something like this on my own over the summer, but it would be cool to do it alongside other writers and getting support. I was browsing their website and found this: http://www.scribblecode.com/ Got so excited because I have been looking for years for a program exactly like this! Then I realize it's only for Mac and feel crushed. | |

| Yeah too bad... it does look pretty useful! Though it's a bit technical/precise for my brainstorming processes. xD;;
This will be my fourth year doing nano, though it's the first time I'm writing something I actually might look into publishing (in novel format, anyway). So that raises the bar a little I suppose.
Ky, there is an off-season nano that has quite a few participants, though it's not as big as the november one-- I think in July. (which is also a bit easier since you get an extra day, hahaha.) I don't know if that one has its own website set up or anything, or if it just sort of lurks on the main nano site, but it could be worth looking into! (And yeah, writing during the event and knowing that there are so many other people participating is super motivating. xD I really like their little graph thing that shows your daily goals and your current wordcount-- having a visual telling me DON'T DROP BELOW THIS LINE is incredibly motivating for me.)

| I am in!
Writing about a bunch of losers this year. Losers with battleships.
Hopefully I'll be able to get more than 6000 words in this time, though considering I am busier than I was last year, I am not holding out too much hope XD;;; I WILL TRY THOUGH.

| I'm always super busy and I push through anyway. :|;;; (probably because I have no social life.)
if you want to do it badly enough, then you force the time to be there. I find that most of the time when people say they're too busy they really could have had enough time if they managed their time better. (not true of everyone, obviously, but I see it a lot.)

| This year I really really don't know where more time will come from, unless I cut myself down to 4 or 5 hours of sleep a night for the entire month XD;;; But we'll see! | |

That's cool, I didn't know about this. I honestly did something very similar to this last July, with word count goals and everything, just all by myself. Too bad... well, at least I know for next year. And yeah, I agree, a lot of people do say they're busy when they can probably make time by reorganizing a bit. I'm like that too; I probably waste a lot of time. x.x But I'm already struggling to keep up with the workload I have right now and it's only going to get worse in November, so I know it'd be unwise to take on any more.

| Yeah, that's fair. It was not my intention to insinuate that you were just being lazy or anything. xD

| I have no excuse since I have plenty of free time at the moment if I don't finish. I'm behind at the moment by a day or two. So far I seem to drop behind by a day when I just don't feel like writing and then catch up over a couple days so if I keep it up I think I'll make it. I have no social life but am lazy and get distracted because I want to read mostly haha, not a good excuse. Somehow having too much free time can make it harder to get things done sometimes too since you feel all drifty and unfocused. Here's my page: http://www.nanowrimo.org/en/participants/ademusThere's a story summary there if you want. | |

I dunno, I have fairly little free time and somehow feel all drifty and unfocused anyway. :C (Though at least today I have the excuse of probably coming down with something) Not gonna link to my Nano because my current synopsis is 'Some stuff happens!' XD

| Haha I always feel a little drifty and unfocused but it's much worse when I have nothing to do. I think it's the anxiety of not knowing where I'm going next. I guess everyone is different though. XD When I was working and super busy it felt uncomfortable to stop moving and when I had nothing to do it was almost like I didn't know what to do with myself. I spent all of my lunch breaks and times when I had free moments to spare writing or drawing during the day because I was able to focus somehow but in the evenings I would just crash. It doesn't give me time to think too much and lose confidence in myself. That little voice going "you suck you suck you suck" in my head doesn't seem to be as noisy when I am busy. Truthfully I'm just making excuses for being a lazy bum. I'm working on it. >_> | |

| Thane: But you have cool cover art uploaded, so you should link to yours anyway. :| (also my synopsis is just as bad as yours; that's not really the point.) | |

| I already won, actually xD (I passed 50k on the 19th, I think that's the fastest I've ever done it? so my goal is to reach 60k in the remaining 10 days!) | |

| *Whistles and looks away* How nice Dusk. *claps* Well I caught up to where I should be for daily goals and stayed on target for a couple days. Then I didn't write for three days so I'm behind again. Haha. I haven't given up yet though. I can post a thingy. | |
